This course requires an initial deposit of $1500. The remaining balance must be paid before the commencement of practical training.

How to Apply for Your Driving Instructor Licence in Tasmania
Step 1: Complete the conditions listed below
- be at least 21
- hold a current Australian driver licence for the class of vehicle in which you wish to instruct
- have held an Australian driver licence (other than learner or provisional) for at least three years, and held it for at least one year immediately prior to the date of your application
Step 2: Complete the TLI41225 – Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training
Step 3: Complete the application form for Ancillary Certificate in Driving Instruction

NOTE: Your application is unlikely to be accepted if you have:
- been convicted of any criminal, traffic, drug, alcohol-related or theft offences within the last five years
- a history of driving offences, licence disqualifications or suspensions.
