Ready to Supervise
Supervising a Learner Driver
It is very important that you, as the home based supervisors of the learner driver, and we, the professional driver trainers, have common aims and objectives in relation to what we teach the learner driver and how we go about teaching it.
To this end One to One Driver Training has developed the “Ready to Teach” course.
The course will be available on a regular basis at the Gold Coast Institute of TAFE from the beginning of 2008.
For further information about this course and our other driver training related course "Ready to Learn" please visit the college website at www.goldcoast.tafe.qld.gov.au.
To enrol in either course please contact the college by email at enrolments.gcit@det.qld.gov.au
This course is designed to give the home based supervisor the knowledge and skills necessary to give their learner driver the information he or she will need to become a safe driver in a clear unambiguous and easily understood manner.
The Queensland Transport “Safe driving in Queensland– supervising driver handbook” is a very good place to start and should be studied by anyone who is taking on the role of supervisor.
The One to One Driver Training “Ready to Teach” course is designed to compliment this booklet.
